You have come to the graveyard of dead ideas, technologies  and ways of life.

Explore that which worked once and works no more

Or ideas that were aborted before their time.

THE END

OR THE BEGINNING

OF LIFE AS WE KNOW IT

Computers   of the 1960's were huge and by standards of today - retarded.
T.V's of the 1950's had vacuum tubes that burned out often.  When they burned out you went to the local grocery store (there were no malls) and tested the tube in a tube tester and bought a new tube.  The tube tester in the store disappeared quietly in the 1960's.
This turn of the 20th century washing machine was hand cranked.  You would load the clothes and turn the wheel for 20 minutes.  Then run the clothes thru the ringer on the right.  A few years earlier you would have put your clothes in a hot bucket of water and stirred them until clean.and you would have had no wringer to squeeze  out the water.
Before the era of the bucket you just pounded your clothes with a rock at the edge of a river.
All technology is born lives and dies.  Come here often as we add new tombstones to technologies that are or will soon expire
